here are two great retro raleigh sites i found, and if you dig around them a little bit you’ll find some serious retro love from all over. so here we have ’em: raleigh at classic rendezvous and retro raleigh. here’s some images from them that kind of some it all up:

so after having my ten year old specialized rockhopper stolen i had to get a new bike and decided a nice road bike was the way to go 1) because the rockhopper is kind of a slow ride and 2) derick’s old miele made me slightly jealous…so after realizing my budget was at the very low end of nice road bikes i narrowed it down to these:
test road the trek first and it was pretty hot, climbed like a dream and easy to ride, but the brakes were (very surprisingly) ass. then road the raleigh which was perfect, followed by the allez which was even more perfect and ridiculously light. i picked the raleigh cuz it sat up a bit more and i love british things on two wheels (see triumph motorcycles). so there you have it.
